CI - 1

Back

A CI trip on Sage 0:00 Assessing the board - find the island then look for any sloops or cutters, and groups of rafts. 1:20 I take a bilge station to help get thrall tokens. We are going for a target of 3 thralls, as backup. I find that full thralls takes so much time and there is only a small chance they will help go on 1 frey further, and so will either not thrall or part thrall. If you arent confident with your own tokening skills on bilge, then you can go 2/2/2 on stations, as there are many capable sailors. Or you could carpent, but I advise against sailing due to the concentration levels and having to swap between mouse and keyboard constantly. I've not tried rigging and navving, but as rigging is quite hard to token on it wouldn't be as effective. 1:33 As we are only semi thralling, I am heading straight in. If I was going for full thralls then I would stay in level with the safe zone until I had all thralls, then head in getting a silver token on the way to get rid of any last boarders. Since I'm not particularly fussed on the number of thralls, this is OK to do. 2:24 I always click on the thrall token (usually as soon as I leave the safe zone) so that the people on stations can easily see how much of what is needed, even if I'm not thralling. Although if I'm not thralling at all, I will say beforehand that if they get the token then I will use it. 4:45 Once you have a silver token, it is safe to start picking up boarders, as you know that you will be able to clear some with the token even if you don't get a gold in the end. 6:24 Make sure you don't pick up more than 6 boarders, or you will have a shipwide frey. Once I have 6, I move away from the group of rafts, and since I have the gold token, I use it. 7:20 Try and make sure you don't get too close to the sloops and cutters! 8:00 Since I'm only part thralling I don't really want any more boarders after the original 6, so I pull away from them. I also head out of the fog, as this gives the carpers and bilgers work as it adds a little carp and bilge every turn.
